On a bitterly cold night in February of 2015, we hosted our first Hoodies for the Homeless event at a small boutique shop on the Lower East Side in New York City. Founder, Tavis Eaton, and his band PushMethod played to a packed house and collected over 500 hoodies that were directly delivered to those who needed them most. We knew we had something.Since that time, Tavis and his bandmate Michael Dustin Youree, have organized multiple events and collected over 60,000 new/lightly used hoodies that are now on the backs of New York's homeless population, while simultaneously inspiring compassion through the feel-good experience of live music. Now an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, it's time for Hoodies for the Homeless to expand... and we need your help.
