Hoodies Event #1
The event that started it all.
We wanted to host a live music event asking guests to bring a new, or gently used, hoodie as their ticket in, with the intention of donating everything we collected to nearby homeless shelters. We brought the idea to our friends at The Hoodie Shop who immediately showed love and support for our vision. They opened up their doors to us, allowing the first-ever Hoodies for the Homeless event to take place in their Lower East Side store on February 5, 2015. It was a frigid, blustery NYC winter night, and even without much promotion, 200+ people heard the call and braved the elements to join us, resulting in the collection of over 500 hoodies. We knew we were on to something.
